Business Planning

The best way to predict the future is to create it! Strategic Planning is a process that determines the future of the organization and what organizational resources will be needed to ensure success. The process involves determining what business opportunities exist, and what resources are available to capitalize on those opportunities.

Business leaders today have found that developing a strategy and a plan is far more effective that leaving the future to chance. Furthermore, the key factors that create higher levels of motivation and commitment continuously fuel higher levels of achievement. Finally, the effective implementation of the plan is as important as planning. This is the true determining factor as to whether or not a company is successful.

The Strategic Planning Processes provide a format for developing the Strategic Plan, taking that strategy through the business planning process and establishing measurable goals. It is a process that involves not only determining where a company is going, but also how it is going to get there.

We separate out the Business Plan from the Strategic Plan in our process. The differentiation becomes the timeframe and the type of assessments/appraisals needed. The Business Planning portion takes a look at a timeframe that is less than two years and even things for the "here and now". We look at a Base Business Focus, Mission (things to do in a 12-18 month timeframe), Critical Goal Categories (sometimes call Critical Success Factors). In addition, detail is put into the financial/budgeting, marketing, sales, etc. that will accomplish the goals that will ultimately tie-in to the Vision created in the Strategic Planning process.

Strategic Planning takes a look at a longer timeframe and includes the "VISIONING" for what the Business Plan needs to provide. CLICK HERE to find out more about the Strategic Planning component.

As with all of our Coaching processes, the individual participant(s) determine the path required to get the results necessary for their success in their personal, their professional and their organizational components of their lives.

A thorough discussion and investigation of where the individual wants and needs to take their lives, why they desire this specific long-term outcome, and what types of obstacles are getting in their way is conducted.

The specifics of the Coaching process will then be tailored to meet those identified needs, those expected outcomes, and those particular obstacles.

We go into each engagement with our clients with end results in mind. Therefore, while a general path to success is defined up front, other topics and discussions will take place as required for dealing with any obstacles that come up during the coaching engagement.
